PlaneMath

     Created in cooperation with NASA, PlaneMath applies mathematics to issues of flight. Mathematics activities revolve around such as issues as flight path, plane capacity, runways and take-offs, lift-off and other areas important to flight. Students can learn math while helping Amelia Earhart fly a straight course to Howland Island, or helping Jimmy Doolittle fly his helicopter over a high mountain range. Students can even design and test their own airplanes.

 

Eisenhower National Clearing House for Mathematics and Science Education

ENC was established in 1992 at The Ohio State University and is located in Columbus, Ohio. Provides an online copy of the NCTM standards for K-12 mathematics.
