Mr. Glen Joiner, Principal

Mr. Joiner is native to Jena, Louisiana.  He is a 1985 graduate of Jena High School.  Before becoming principal at Jena High, he taught Health Education and coached several sports.  Mr. Joiner received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.  He received his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership from Northwestern State University.  He continues to further his education working toward 30 plus hour status.  He has been principal at Jena High for four years.  Mr. Joiner has an open door policy and is always willing to listen.

Mr. Gawan Burgess, Assistant Principal

Mr. Burgess is a longtime resident of LaSalle Parish. He has been teaching in the LaSalle Parish System for over twenty years.  Mr. Burgess received his Bachelor's and Master's Degrees from Louisiana Tech University.  He also possesses an additional  30 graduate level hours.  Before entering into Administration, he taught Science and coached many sports.  He is known throughout the parish by many for his skills at teaching extra-curricular Martial Arts.  He has been the principal at Fellowship Elementary School, Jena Junior High School, and now serves on the administrative staff here at Jena High as Assistant Principal.  His favorite word is DOMINATION.

Mrs. Tish Budemer, Administrative Assistant

Ms. Budemer is a native of Franklin Parish.  She has taught in LaSalle Parish for a number of years.  She has taught Business Education and Science courses and has even served as Girl's Basketball coach.  Ms. Budemer has always worn many hats that contribute to the well being and smooth sailing of Jena High.   Ms. Budemer holds a Bachelor of Consumer Affairs Degree from Louisiana Tech and an Educational Leadership Master's Degree from Northwestern State University.  She has 13 years of teaching experience.  Ms.  Budemer serves in the crucial role as Administrative Assistant here at Jena High.  

Ms. Samantha Cotten, Guidance Counselor

Ms. Samantha Cotten is our new Guidance Counselor.  She is a recent graduate of Louisiana Tech University in Ruston.  She has been around Jena High for sometime.  Ms. Cotten has served in many capacities at Jena High School, especially that of a devout substitute teacher.  Ms. Cotten looks forward to serving the students at Jena High School.  She is dedicated to the educational well being of all students; if you need Ms. Cotten, her door is always open
 

Mrs. Becky Bacle, School Secretary

Our school secretary is Mrs. Becky Bacle.    She is the bonding agent that keeps Jena High School together.  She deals with parents, administration, teachers, and students. She wears many hats that contributes to our school running smoothly.  She has been the secretary here for over 10 years.  If you want to know something about Jena High .... Mrs Bacle is the one who can tell you.  Our hats off to Mrs. Bacle...for the splendid job she does!
