JHS Student Fees

Jena High School does impose fees that assist in the administration of certain classes in order to buy needed materials and supplies.

 

1.  Art - $20.00

     This fees is imposed on each student that enrolls in Art class.  The fee is used to purchase supplies for
     student consumption.

 

2.  CHEMISTRY - $ 4.00 (Beginning in school year 2020-2021).

     This fee is imposed on each student who enrolls in Chemistry class.  The fee is used to purchase supplies for
     student consumption.

 

WAIVER OF STUDENT FEES:

If a student is experiencing a hardship with paying a fee, the teacher and principal can waive the class fee. 

If a student who qualifies for and is enrolled in the LaSalle APPLES (Homeless) program and is experiencing hardships in paying class fees, the program can pay the fee for the student.  Contact the APPLES Liason, Mrs. Missy McEntyre at 992-8885.

 

UNPAID FEE COLLECTION:

If payments are not made by the due date, a request for payment will be made in writing stating the original deadline of the fee and give 5 school days from the date of the notice for the parent to pay the fee or submit an economic hardship waiver to the Principal.
